Voting for city corporations and town Municipalities starts today

Udupi:March.6:All the arrangements for the voting of City corporations and town Municipalities which will start from 7 am until 5 pm are completed in Udupi dist. The appointed officers took all the necessary equipment for the voting on Wednesday morning from the Mustering dept.

There are 88 polling booths from 35 wards for Udupi Town Municipality election. For Kundapur town Municipality,there are 23 polling booths for 23 wards. In Karkala,23 polling booths for 23 wards for Karkala Municipality elction have been set up. 14 Polling booths for 14 wards in Saligrama have also been set up for the voting.

A total of 262 candidates are in the election from 4 centers and a total of 1.31 lakh citizens will vote on Thursday’s election. 2000 Number Policemen are deployed all over udupi dist.for the smooth election process.
