Mangalore:Silent protest against violence on women

Mangalore:March.6: The ‘Voilence on women Agitation Vedike’ and different other women’s organizations have jointly staged a silent protest against the violence on women on Wednesday at Manglore.

A procession was taken from Hampankatta circle to college circle on the footpath. Later a tribute was paid by lighting the candles to the women who died in the violence on them. More than 500 women took part in the protest. Bangalore Liberation Organization’s Madhu Bhushan,Marathi writer Urmila Pawar,Sabiha Bhoomi Gowda of the Vedike,Shahnaz M.,Gulabi Bilimale,Chandrakala Nandavar,Marlin Martiz and Vidya Dinakar were present at the protest.
