Kundapur:’Women’s Day’ organized by Holy Mother Rozari organization On March - 13 - 2013

Kundapur:March.13: ‘Women’s Day’ was celebrated by Kundapur Holy Mother Rozari organization on March.10th at Kundapur. The programme was presided over by Holy Rozari Church priest Anil D’Souza. The programme started with a prayer song. ‘Women’s Association’ president Smt.Vinaya D’Costa in her welcoming speech hi lighted the topic of assault on women in the society.

Secretary Smt.Juliet Pius presented the annual report. Treasurer Smt.Shanthi Carvello presented the accounts report during the function. Aanagalli Village Panchayath vice president Smt.Lidwin Almeida and Kundapur Civil Judge Smt. Vijetha Pinki were felicitated by the association during the function. Addressing the function, both the dignitaries advised the members to utilize the existing opportunities  and take a leading role in the society.

Addressing the programme,church priest Anil D’Souza said the women can solve all their problems if they stand firm with self confidence instead of thinking about their exploitation.

Cultural dance programme was presented by the members of the association. Comedy stage drama “Patin ti Preranachi” written by well known writer Barnard J.Chrasta was played by the women members of the association. Smt. Lona Chrastha compered the programme. Former president Smt.Victoria D’Souza and Church Administration committee gen.secretary Soni D’Costa were present on the stage.
