Mangalore:Rs.1.90 lakh worth gold jewellery stolen from Chennai-Mangalore express train
Mangalore:March.10: Gold jewellery worth Rs.1.90 lakh was stolen from a house wife in Chennai-Mangalore west coast Express train on Sunday morning. Deepa Prabhu,basically a resident of Puttur was travelling from Calicut to Mangalore with her 2 year son. She catch the Chennai-Mangalore west coast Express train from Calicut at 12.45 am in a reserved sleeper compartment.
Deepa Prabhu was visiting her parents in Puttur. She removed her gold chain,bangles and ring before going to sleep and kept all the items in her vanity bag. Rs.5000/- cash was also there in her vanity bag. When she woke up at 3.30 am and checked her vanity bag,everything was safe. But at 4.40 am,when she checked her vanity again,all the items from the bag were missing.
Deepa Prabhu has filed a case at Mangalore Railway Police station on Sunday morning when the train reached Mangalore at 5 am.
