Kaup ‘Bandh’ successful on Saturday On March - 17 - 2013

Kaup:March.16:The bandh called by Hindu organizations at Kaup was successful on Saturday. Hindu organizations were protesting against the failure of the police to arrest the culprits who attacked 2 Hindu youths in a bus at Kaup on Wednesday evening.

The Kaup market was completely shut on Saturday. All the shops were closed and the auto rickshaws,taxis and other vehicles showed their full support for the bandh.

Srinath and Rajesh were going to Mangalore from Manipal in a private bus on Wednesday when a group of Muslim youths attacked them near Kaup Vidyaniketana educational institution for chatting with other community girls.

Hindu Organizations protested against the attack and demanded for the immediate arrest of the attackers. The Police have arrested 4 persons in this connection but failed to arrest the rest of the attackers.
