Kundapur:CC Camera captures the footage of scooter theft near college road On March - 14 - 2013

Kundapur:March.13:The first theft case was recorded in the CC Camera installed at Kundapur Shashtri circle on Monday. Wholesale fish merchant Jagannath Kharvi parked his Activa scooter(KA 20 EB 0229) on Monday near College road and went to see the election results at Bhandarkars college. He was carrying a cash of Rs.80,000/- which he kept in his scooter’s glove compartment and locked it.

He was shocked when he could find his vehicle after half an hour.  Jagannath Kharvi immediately reported the matter to Kundapur Police station.

 On the suspicion of a possible theft,Kundapur Police decided to take the footage of CC Camera installed at Shashtri circle. According to the footage,the 2 culprits reached the parking lot at 8.31 am on Monday in their scooter from Vaishali Hotel. The co-rider in a yellow shirt,got down from his vehicle and went near Jagannath’s parked scooter. After waiting for 2 minutes,he opened the seat with a key and saw the bag. With the same key he started the scooter and drove towards Koteshwar. The other culprit wearing a white shirt was seen moving towards college road.

 

 

It was a day of election results and the college road was crowded in the morning. Even Traffic Police were present at the same location. According to the sources,it was a pre planned theft and the culprits were well aware of Jagannath’s business activities.

But the CC Camera has captured all their action. The registration number of their scooter has also been identified through the camera footage. To find out the identity of the culprits is going to be easy for the police department from the CC camera footage. The Police are going to solve the case very soon according to the sources.
