“Accepting activists demand,I am ready to contest”:Raghupathi Bhat

Udupi:March.31:”Accepting the demand of the activists,I am ready to contest from Udupi constituency” said MLA Raghupathi Bhat. Udupi town and rural committee meeting of the BJP was held at Udupi on Sunday. Raghupathi Bhat’s name was nominated unopposed at the meeting for Udupi constituency assembly election to be held on May 5.

Raghupathi Bhat said “I am ready to contest,if the senior leaders will permit me”. Town committee president Manohar Kalmadi and rural committee president H.Ratnakar Shetty were present at the meeting. BJP Dist.president said he will inform the decision to the State unit according to a statement released after the meeting.

The activists visited Raghupathi Bhat’s residence on Saturday and demanded him to contest from Udupi constituency.
