Gangulli:Dist.level Doubles Shuttle badminton tournament held

Gangulli:April.2:Manipal’s Venkatesh Kamath and Dr.Bharath Rao have won the ‘Hari Om’ Doubles Dist.level shuttle badminton trophy and a cash prize of Rs.4444/-held recently at Gangulli. Gangulli’s ‘Hari Om’ Association has organized the event. The tournament was held at S.V.Junior college’s Gujjadi Gopal Nayak Rotary indoor auditorium.

Karkala’s ‘Padutirupathi A’ team’s Prashanth Pai and Vinod Kini won the Runners up trophy and Rs.2222/- cash prize.

Temple priest Vedamoorthy G.Vasanth Bhat and local businessman M.Raghavendra Pai distributed the prizes to the winners. Businessman K.Ramanath Nayak presided over the closing ceremoney. M.G.Raghavendra Bhandarkar was also present at the stage. A total of 36 teams from various places took part in the tournament.
