Forest officers arrest 2 truck drivers for carrying illegal wood poles

Udupi:April.8: Udupi Forest officers have arrested 2 truck drivers along with their trucks loaded with illegal wood poles on Saturday. The total amount of illegal wood poles is estimated at Rs.8 lakhs. Truck drivers Subraya Naika and Ramesh Mallya were arrested for carrying illegal wooden poles in their trucks.

 

Asst.Forest Preservation officer G.S.Kotari,Zone Forest officer Raghav Patali,Sub-zone officers Harishkrishna K.,Dayananda K.,Harish K.,constables Ashok S.Patkar,Vasanth Poojari and driver Devappa took part in the operation. The investigation is going on under the supervision of Kundapur Division Sub Forest Preservation officer Ganesh Rai according to Forest Petrol unit officers.
