Udupi:’Komu Souharda Vedike’ stage protest against caste discrimination case held at Trasi

Udupi:June.8:’Komu Souharda Vedike’ Udupi unit has staged a protest in front of Udupi SP office condemning the caste discrimination case happened at Trasi wedding hall and sexual harassment on Mangalore Pandeshwar Police station SI Shrikal. Addressing the protesters,Vedike Dist.president and senior thinker G.Rajashekhar said “the police is still continuing the RSS philosophy of anti women,anti minority and anti poor theory. It is necessary for the police department to obey the law and order and give equal protection for all the sections of the people”.

Later,a memorandum was submitted to Mangalore west zone Deputy Superindent of Police through Udupi SP. The protesters demanded the immediate suspension of Mangalore south Police dept.ACP T.R.Jagannath for his sexual harassment on Shrikala and to withdraw the false complaint lodged against her for the purpose of keeping her mouth shut.

The purohit made a caste discrimination during the wedding ceremony of Gangulli village panchayath president Sakamma. This is a sign showing that the caste discrimination system still exists in the district. The Dist.Aministration and the police dept.should take care and punish such people who show caste discrimination demanded the protesters.

Thinker Prof.Faniraj,Vedike secretary Dinakara Bengre,Caste Free related vedike’s Prof.Hayvana Moodasagri,Jamathe Islami Hind’s Idris Hoode,Firoz Manna,Ifthikar and Minority Vedike’s Charles Amber were present at the protest.
