Sky reaching prices of fresh fish made eggs dearer

Udupi:June.12:The prices of egg have raised from Rs.3.60 per peice to Rs.4.80 due to the sky reaching prices of fresh fish in the Karavali region. Last week,the retail price of egg per piece was Rs.3.60 and wholesale price was Rs.3.00 and now the wholesale price of the egg is increased to Rs.4.00.

Due to the shortage and high sky reaching prices of fresh fish in the market,the non vegetarians are buying eggs for their daily food which created higher demand for the eggs. If the prices of the fresh fish goes up again,certaily the prices of eggs will increase in the future days. Hotels and omlet stalls have more demand for eggs. This is going to be an head ache for the non vegetarians in the coastal region.
