The echo of Gulf region tremors in Karnataka Karavali

 Mangalore/Udupi:April.16:The tremor which shook the tall buildings in most of the Gulf countries on Tuesday afternoon has turned out to be the matter of worry for the families of NRIs from the Karavali region. The news of earth quake brought fear and confusion among the kith and kin and the relatives of the NRIs residing in the coastal Karnataka region.

The NRIs  in Saudi Arabia are fearing to lose their jobs because of the ‘Nitakat’ dead line set by the Saudi Govt. This has been the subject of fear and confusion among the families living in Karnataka Karavali region. As soon as the news of tremor in the gulf region spread,the families became more anxious to get the news about the safety of their loved ones and tried to get news from other sources when they failed to contact them. Some families depended on the news from the TV channels and collected the information.
