3 Buses collided on NH 66 near Udyavar; passengers received minor injuries

 Udyavar:April.15:Three buses moving on the same direction met with an accident at Udyavar on Monday evening. Vijayananda bus going to Mumbai from Mangalore,Manjunath bus going to Udupi from Mangalore and H.A.Travels going to Shirva from Mangalore collided with each other near Halima Sabju auditorium at NH 66 on Monday evening. Fortunately all the passengers escaped with  minor injuries.

The incident happened when the driver of the private bus going to Shirva applied sudden brakes. The express bus which was coming from behind collided with the front bus and the third bus going to Mumbai hit the express bus from behind. The private bus crossed the divider and landed on the other side of the road due to the impact of the accident. Fortunately there was no heavy traffic on the other side of the road. The traffic was jam on both the side of NH 66 after the incident. Katapadi Out post ASI Gouri Shankar and his team reached the spot and cleared the traffic jam.
